With all new ribs the hull is rolled over to re-plank the bottom .

The bottom was re-planked with vertical grain western red cedar , and fastened to the ribs with copper rivets .

After the planking is complete , the seams caulked and two coats of clear sealer follwed by two coats of enamel .
