This shot is the chine , or what is left of it .

   The stem being replaced  . The old keel is used here to check the alignment with the rest of the framework before it is replaced .

All of the frames , the keel , stem , transom frame and chines have all been replaced here . The frames are replaced one at a time and constantly faired into the existing framework to make sure that the original shape is maintained . The batten at the back of the hull  is used to check for fairness of the frames .
