 The side decks are laminated with alternating strips of mahogany and sitka spruce .

The back , center and front decks are laminated with mahogany and cyprus . The strips were originally edge nailed with iron nails . I used stainless steel nails .

A piece of white oak stem bent to replace the combing . I bent it over my knee after steaming it and held it in position with pipe clamps for a few days to hold its shape .
