Upon removing the floor I discover what was once a lifejacket converted into a rodent condominium complex .

The first step is to remove everything from the hull , including the engine . The engine will be sent out to a machine shop for rebuilding .

All of the chrome is catalogued , and photographed before going down to the chrome shop for re-chroming .
  People often ask me on the phone " how much will it cost to restore our boat ?"  ---Here I've spent almost a week taking things apart to get a good look at what needs to be done . After consulting with the owner it was agreed that the boat should get a new bottom .
