The frames are replaced one at a time to maintain the shape of the bottom .

  After all of the frames are replaced they are beveled and faired with a batten to insure a smooth running surface .

With all of the sawn frames in place and faired I rounded up some scraps to attatch to the frames . These scraps are used as a cheap temporary form to steam bend the intermediate ribs .
