Somehow  I forgot to take some pictures of the outer planking being installed .At this stage the side planks that needed repair are replaced as well as the lower transom The outer bottom planking is all clear vertical grain cedar . The planking is planed then sanded before a coat of clear sealer . After two coats of clear sealer have dried Two more coats of a two part High build primer give a good foundation for the copper bronze bottom paint .

  I like to strip the hull while the boat is upside down . Because of the flare at the bow it's easier to apply the stripper this way. When it's right side up the stripper has a nasty tendency to run down the brush and down your arm . It also keeps the stripper from running down onto the new bottom paint .
