After building up the varnish on the new ribs and planks the entire inside is sanded . Sanding between the ribs of one of these boats requires a few days , and a high threshold for boredom. 

After varnishing the inside I noticed that a lot of the old floorboards were rotten .I have an old device casting that I laid in the boat to fit new floors around . After the new floors are finished the boat will be turned over again to varnish the outside .
