After finishing the side planks the covering boards and gunwales are installed .

The hook scarfs are used in the covering boards just like the originals

   After sanding I stained the boat with a two tone colour scheme and applied five coats of varnish . The owner took it home to his own shop and finished off the balance of the varnishing and  restoration . The following year he won best Ditchburn under thirty feet at the Gravenhurst boat show .
