The next step was to make a new engine bed to accommodate the reverse gear and the re-built engine .  This part was a bit of a brain teaser  . The reverse gear sits about four inches higher than the engine . I temporarily installed an old device to check out the geometry and the shaft angle .

After finishing the engine beds , a new center deck frame is made , and the front deck is also changed . The second shot is skipping a head a bit to the first couple of coats of varnish on the inside of the hull and the new decks .
