

The chines are laminated from two pieces . Both the keel and chines
are bolted through the frames with stainless steel bolts .

Ribs are made to go between the frames out of white oak . The bottom
will be planked in two layers . The first one will be 1/4" thick laid
diagonally followed by a layer of 1/2 inch laid fore and aft . The two
layers of planking will be bonded together with a polyurethane sealer
. The ribs allow a row of fasteners every six or seven inches holding
the layers together and with a lot less weight than additional sawn
frames .
