I started construction of this boat back in 1989 as a part time , after work project .  It was to become an obsessive passion for two years and consumed seventeen hundred hours of my spare time . I had initially built the boat on spec with the intention of selling it . As things turned out I finished it in 1991 just as the economy had imploded and the market for wooden boats had evaporated . I still own the boat today , and it is no longer for sale , but I would build another one if commissioned to do so .
