The bilge was sealed with three coats of clear epoxy sealer . The sealer is quite thin , and penetrates the wood very well .The fumes are extremely strong , so I decided to seal the bilge before the sides were all the way on to provide some ventilation In all about four gallons were applied to the bilge . The four stringers provided a good base for framing the floor . The cutouts for the engine can be seen here .Two of the cross spalls were left in place to use as a temporary workbench. A small floor was framed in forward of the front bulkhead . |
