The frame parts were roughed out about an inch oversize , then stacked and numbered according to the frame number . In all there were over 200 different parts so keeping track of them was important .

The rough parts were screwed onto the bed of the CNC router and cut down to the final size to within.005"

The stringers were laminated out of fir . The stringers provide structural support and keep the frames in alignment during setup . It was important to lay them up on a flat surface . The upstairs floor of the new varnish shop ( still under construction ) provided a good spot for this job .
