A full sized body plan drawing was plotted on mylar . I used mylar rather than paper ( even though mylar is several times more expensive than paper ) , because paper this big changes shape and size with changes in humidity .The body plan was laid out on a flat table and the frame parts were assembled on top of it .

The sticks clamped around the edge of the table held the parts in place on the drawing while they were glued and screwed together . 

This is actually a picture of the transom frame from another boat being laminated . The transom frame for this boat was done in a similar way though .
