The cutwater is fabricated by silver brazing the two halves together at the correct angles to fit the boat . The fit is quite snug to prevent water from getting in behind . A floor jack tweaks the bottom into place .
The cutwater with the bow cap and some other deck hardware in place . The windshield is one of the most difficult pieces of hardware to make . It involves advanced patterns with core boxes to form the channels in the castings for the glass , and a lot of tricky angles to make it fit the deck correctly . A lot of grinding and fitting was done to the castings in place on the deck. The interior was covered in plastic to keep all of the bronze grindings out while this took place . The next step is to have all of the hardware polished and chrome plated . |
