I have a few old cushions around the shop That are the same thickness as the upholstery that will be used here . I lay them on the back seat framework to check the comfort of the back seat . The sides of the motor boxes are made of plywood which is good for it's dimensional stability , The plywood is faced with some 1/4" thick mahogany veneer that I milled and book matched for a better look .

 

  The motor boxes are fitted with quick release cam clamps to allow the sides of the boxes to be removed in a few seconds providing easy access to the engines . Some mechanic someday will appreciate this .
