


It's pretty obvious that the stem and stern post although not to
bad on the outside , aren't holding the nails anymore , so the first
job will be to remove and replace the stem sternpost and keel .

With the center and both ends of the boat removed it's a good time
to get rid of the twist in the hull . The ends are plumbed and the
gunwales leveled at this stage before installing the new stem and
stern post .

There is a supposed to be a small amount of rocker in the keel , so
the new keel is braced with a block of wood from the seat until the
new garboards are nailed on. Once the garboards are installed they
will help to hold the rocker in the keel .
