With the new ribs installed , work begins on the dashboard , seats and
knees .

The seats rest on oak strips nailed to the ribs . These simple
strips are actually quite a challenge , because they determine
the height of the seats , and they also have to be level . All this
with no reference other than a ruler from the keel and a level.

New engine beds were made out of white oak and tied into the dash
board . I finally found a re-usable piece of wood ! The seat over the
dash is original and fits the new hull perfectly .

The side decks ( or spray boards ) were originally nailed and not
glued . I like to glue them as well as nail them to add rigidity and
strength .---You can never have too many clamps
