The side decks , or spray boards as they are often called are made up out of scraps left over from the planking , just as the originals were . The remaining floor boards were made out of  mostly plank scraps as well . By the time that I made the last floor board , the biggest left over was only a few square inches .

The boat still needs seat backs and a motor box , but my supply of old growth cypress has been delayed until February . In the mean time There is lots of sanding and varnishing to be done on the hull . The seats will be made later .
